Unit Projects

One Big Pride

One Big Pride is the flagship project of the commission which is both a celebration of love for the LGBTQIA+ community, and a protest against gender injustices in the nation. It is the Ateneo's annual pride march and comes with various activities and inititatives that celebrate the community.

Assistance for SOGIE-related Concerns

Members of the Loyola Schools who have encountered SOGIE-related concerns may approach the Commission through its social media accounts for instances of discrimination such as homophobic or transphobic remarks. If needed, a meeting will be set with the complainant to discuss possible courses of action such as referral to the University Gender Hub and other offices within the Ateneo.

Gender Sensitivity Trainings

The commission conducts gender sensitivity trainings to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, increase awareness of gender issues, and foster diversity and inclusion. These have helped create an inclusive and informed environment where all students, faculty, and staff feel respected and valued regardless of their gender identity or expression while increasing awareness about gender issues, including stereotypes, biases, and discrimination.
