The Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila, commonly known as Sanggunian or Sanggu, is the student government of the Ateneo de Manila University. The Sanggunian works towards making students know, understand, and feel that they are part of one community, wherein each member has a voice, and everyone understands its value, not only within the University, but also within our bigger society as Filipinos. In all this, the Sanggunian serves and unites with a vision of a compassionate, just, and humane society.

The Sanggunian is composed of three main units: Central Sanggunian, Central Assembly, and the School Sanggunians.
The Sanggunian shall offer its services without prejudice up to the highest standards available.

The exercise and pursuit of critical thinking and self-reflexivity are not only geared towards building a Sanggunian that is cognizant of its external political environment.
Collaborative practice happens when multiple stakeholders from different professional backgrounds both within and outside Sanggu work together with our constituents and potential allies such as the administration to deliver the highest quality of care across settings.
As students of a Catholic and Jesuit University, the Sanggunian believes that to live a genuine faith entails cultivating and practicing a sense of responsibility towards the well-being of one’s neighbor and countryman.
Sanggu will work for the benefit of the Nation and the Filipino People as a whole.
The use of peaceful means in an “active” or persistent manner to push for, and bring about, political and social change.
