As per the Code of Financial Procedures, the Sanggunian undergoes a budget process. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) coordinates with all units within the Sanggunian, collating their request for funds to cover any forecasted expenses within the provided semester and school year. These requests are collated and presented into one Budget Proposal that goes through a Budget Hearing facilitated by the Central Assembly (CA). The budget is called as the General Appropriations Bill which turns into an Act once it's approved by the CA and signed by the President.
Sanggu usually conducts recruitment during Intersession and the First Semester COA RecWeek period. As needed, recruitment is also held during the Second Semester. Interested applicants must go through the Sanggunian application process which involve submission of application forms, interviews, and more.
You may also choose to run for office as President, Vice President, School Representative, or Course Representative during the Ateneo general or freshie elections facilitated by the Ateneo COMELEC. Follow their social media platforms to be updated about filing of candidacy and other processes.
